An electrode is subjected to a high electrical voltage, which produces controlled dielectric barrier discharges which, by acting on the components of the ambient air, create a cold plasma of ions.
Mosquito protection
It is the female mosquitoes that bite, to satisfy their need for proteins which will then allow them to develop their eggs; they will find these proteins in the blood of their victims.
What is known for certain is that the heat of the human body attracts mosquitoes. It locates its target thanks to its sense of smell, and its olfactory system is capable of detecting an odor from more than 10m away.
Besides carbon dioxide, it can be attracted by the presence of fatty acids, emitted by respiration emanating from the pores of the skin.
Aeriashield releases anions that form a protective "bubble" around you, inhibiting the olfactory receptors of mosquitoes: you become invisible. You are protected from bites, and mosquitoes, essential to the ecosystem, are not killed.
Viruses and bacteria
Our devices eliminate airborne viruses (HCoV 229E, H1N1, Influenza). Airborne viruses attach to micro-particles coughed up by the mouth and nose, either by speaking or by breathing.
The Aeriashield devices charge these particles with negative ions, which, under the effect of gravity, will be projected to the ground. During this transport, the viruses will be destroyed by ozone produced in tiny quantities that are completely harmless to humans.
